Strip the tub down to a clean, bare surface.

REMOVE OLD CAULK & PEELING PAINT

Use a scraper to remove all old caulk and any loose, peeling paint. This is a critical step because the new coating needs a clean, solid surface to bond to. If you leave old material behind, the new finish won’t stick properly and could peel later.

Create a texture that the new finish can "grip."

SAND SURFACES

Use the abrasive pad or sandpaper to thoroughly sand the entire tub. The goal is to remove the original factory shine and leave the surface looking dull and matte. This texture acts like a series of tiny anchors, ensuring your new coating bonds permanently and won't peel over time. Pay extra attention to corners and edges where shine often remains.

Chemically "etch" the surface to ensure the coating locks on.

ACIDIC TOILET BOWL CLEANER

Apply the acidic cleaner to remove deep-seated soap scum and mineral deposits that sanding might miss. The acid creates a microscopic "grip" on the porcelain, allowing the new finish to bond at a molecular level. This chemical bond is what prevents peeling and bubbling. Scrub the entire surface thoroughly, then rinse and dry the tub until it is bone-dry.

CLEAN WITH ALCOHOL

Use Isopropyl alcohol on a lint-free cloth to wipe down the entire tub. This final cleaning removes microscopic dust from sanding and oils from your skin that can prevent the finish from sticking. Once you finish this step, the surface is chemically pure and ready for coating—avoid touching the tub with your bare hands from this point on.

MASK & PROTECT

Use the blue painter’s tape to carefully mask off the tiles, floor, and fixtures surrounding the tub. Press the tape down firmly along the edges to create a tight seal; this prevents the coating from seeping underneath and ensures perfectly sharp lines. Taking the time to protect these surfaces now prevents permanent damage to your bathroom later.

Build a strong foundation, then seal it with a smooth, lasting finish.

PRIME & TOP COAT

First, mix Primer Part A with Primer Part B thoroughly, then apply 2 thin, even coats, allowing 20–30 minutes between coats.

Next, mix Top Coat Part A with Top Coat Part B thoroughly and apply 1 smooth, even coat over the primed surface. Work carefully to maintain consistent coverage and avoid over-application. Thin, controlled layers help create a smooth, durable, high-gloss finish with a professional look.

APPLY FRESH CAULK

Once your new finish has cured for at least 24 hours, apply a fresh bead of silicone caulk along the edges where the tub meets the wall and floor. This creates a flexible, waterproof barrier that prevents moisture from getting behind your new surface. With the tape removed and the caulk in place, your transformation is officially complete. Step into your factory-fresh tub and enjoy your brand-new bathroom!
